Essential Realty Group, Inc. is a real estate agency with over 10 years of professional experience in residential, commercial and property management. To compete more effectively with the upcoming virtual real estate companies, Essential Realty needed a dominant web presence. Due to AllofE’s experience with robust database driven Web sites and content management expertise, Essential Realty requested that such a site be developed for them.

Challenge

 Develop an attractive, easy to use web site with expandable menu structures and extensive search capabilities.

  • Build a database to store vast amounts of real estate information.
  • Integrate the database with the MLS database to receive timely and accurate property information.
  • Develop functionality for real estate agents to create and maintain their own home pages.

Response

AllofE’s graphic designers began by creating an attractive front end of the site that reflected the unique image of Essential Realty. The site was equipped with easy to use dropdown menu structures, agent pages with their own separate menus and property searches based on MLS numbers, address information, schools, etc.

The next task was to get all available property information into the database and create functionality to add and update the information. Through ContentM, AllofE developed a Rich Text Editor that allowed users with no HTML or programming experience to enter and store information consistently. With such a great amount of information available, AllofE worked to display it in the most user-friendly form. In doing so, the developers were also able to retain the ability to select multiple values for each field from those supplied by the MLS database.

Effects

The result was a comprehensive web site for any property buyer or seller with numerous images of each property, as much property information as available and agent home pages with direct email contact functionality. With the customization and implementation of AllofE’s content management tool, ContentM, agents were able to update their own information including their services, experience, education, property picks and contact information. The site served as a one stop solution to home buying needs.
